Our Mission

The Chapter Before Home Foundation 5013c nonprofit exists to support foster families and help their foster dogs thrive before they find their permanent address.

 

Founded by a mother-daughter dog training and foster duo, Rachel and Luci, The Chapter Before Home was created out of decades of combined experience in dog training, shelter work, and fostering. After seeing how structure, leadership, and support transformed dogs in their care, they knew they had to do more, not just for the dogs, but for the people fostering them.

 

Our Mission

We help dogs leave better than they came. This chapter, before adoption, isn’t just a waiting period. It’s a time to reset, rebuild trust, learn, and prepare. We support fosters and rescues with real-life training, resources, and guidance to help dogs thrive in their next home.
